Building with Bytes and Bricks

Teachers Corner

Here you find different tips and tools to teach students and other interested persons about the building trade as well as the different tasks, jobs and materials that are needed for house building.

The model of the House

Having a model is very helpful support and a wonderful tool for pedagogical tasks, because you can touch it by hand.

The model of the House is an important for the learning process. It is a high motivation factor for both the students and the teacher.

Having a precise model of the house means that the students can be both active and learn a lot from the model - but the model also helps to create a very precise view of the house as well as the different stages and processes in house building.

The sample box cards

These sample cards are meant as an explanation of the different materials in the box. They are translated into: Danish, German, English and Italian and can be downloaded free.

The sample box

The sample box is a collection of the different materials used in building a house - and there are a lot of them. It is quite easy to make a sample box, just collect the materials and put them in a box with different rooms for each material. To make this work easier for you, we have made a number of cards, which have a photo of the material and the name for it in four languages.
